Why Images Change Size When Moved (& How to Change Back)

Educa has image auto-sizing, which means as you move images into a row, the size of all images will adjust so that they are all the same size and the row is formatted nicely. To make an image bigger in a row, move one image out of the row and the others will automatically get larger. Or use the image bar to change the size.

Auto-sizing for columns works differently, As shown below, when you move an image above or below an image, your image will change to size of the neighboring image. That helps to keep your story tidy. If you don't like that size, use the image bar to change the size.

Image Editor

Educa's Advanced Image Editor allows users to perform basic edit functions on images once they have been uploaded. Simply click on the photo and the image toolbar will appear. Select the Edit Image as show in this image.

You will see a variety of image editing options including:

  • Photo rotation - change the orientation

  • Image cropping

  • Brightness adjustment

  • Colour saturation

For all edits, make changes then tap/click Apply, then click Save to apply these changes to your photo.

Rotating Photos

If your photo comes into Educa with an incorrect orientation, you have options.

First, to help your device process your intended orientation, give it a moment to settle before taking a photo. This will help your images come into Educa the right way up from the outset.

Once in Eudca you can adjust. Click the "edit image" icon on the image bar, then tap/click the circular arrow in the menu.

Note, you can rotate the image 90 degrees on each click or flip it (to a mirror image) using the icons to the left of the arrow. Click/tap "Apply" and remember to hit "Save" to save your changes.

Changing Layouts

Educa also has an image layout and smart sizing tool. Learn more here.
