Child Transfer

How to move a child’s portfolio from one Educa service to another.

If a child moves to another centre or service that also uses Educa, their profile can be transferred so the new service can continue adding to their portfolio. Transfers are handled by the Educa Support Team and must be requested by a Site Admin from the child’s former service.

What's Included in the Transfer

The following information will transfer with the profile to the new Educa site:

  • Profile information including profile picture

  • All Individual Stories, Family Stories and Individual Day Journals

  • Plans - Can only be viewed and not edited

  • Notes

  • Routines

  • Family Linked to the profile

What's Not Included in the transfer

The following information will NOT transfer with the profile to the new Educa site:

  • Group Stories

  • Forms

How to Request a Child Transfer

Profile transfers are completed by Educa Support. Please ask someone with site admin access at your centre to email support@geteduca.com.

In the email, include the following details to help us process the request quickly:

  1. Child’s full name

  2. Name of the old service

  3. Name of the new service

  4. (Optional) The date you’d like the transfer to be made

Important

  • Transfers can only be initiated by the former service’s Site Admin.

  • Once the transfer is complete, the new service will be able to continue building on the child’s existing portfolio.
