Understanding our Updated Pricing Model: Frequently Asked Questions

Pricing is simple and aligned with your centre or service

At Educa, our goal is to support teachers to easily create space and make time to cultivate exploration and early learning. We’re introducing a straight capacity-based pricing model. With this model, customers can expect to pay only as they grow with a flexible pricing model that removes hosting fees.

There will be a flat fee per child per month based on your current capacity:

  • $1.59 per child profile, monthly

  • There is a 15-child minimum capacity per site increasing in convenient multiples of 5 profiles, ensuring your continued flexibility

  • No fixed per centre fees

Frequently Asked Questions

When will the pricing changes come into effect?

The pricing changes will begin rolling out from 8 June 2024 and will be gradually implemented across our customer base. Customers will be notified in advance, and the new rates will be applied to their billing cycle once the changes take effect for their account.

How does this affect my current plan?

As an existing customer, no action is required on your part. Your plan will automatically transition to the new model on the date communicated in emails sent to you, and the updated rate will be applied to your next billing cycle. All prices are quoted exclusive of taxes (such as sales taxes or GST).

Where can I see my current profile capacity?

Site Administrators have the ability to access and adjust the profile limit for their site to match the needs of their platform on the Billing section within the Site Settings. Will there be any changes to my billing cycle?

Your billing cycle will remain the same.

Will there be any changes to the billing system?

Yes, we’re excited to introduce a new and improved billing system, which we’ll be rolling out gradually, starting with a select group of our customers. This presents a great opportunity to enhance your billing experience. We’ll reach out to you directly when it’s your turn. You can find further details on this page if you've already been contacted.

What happens to my old discounts?

All previous discounts related to partnerships or memberships with other organisations have now expired. We encourage you to stay updated with our latest offers and promotions as we continue to explore new ways to provide value to our customers.

Is there an option to lock in my current rate?

Unfortunately, we do not offer the option to lock in current rates. Our pricing reflects the evolving costs of providing top-quality service and may be adjusted in response to market conditions and business needs.

Are there any discount options available? What if I cannot afford the new pricing?

If you are currently on a monthly plan, we offer the option to switch to an annual plan, which provides a discounted rate of $1.39 per profile. This option can help make the costs more manageable by spreading them over a longer period while enjoying a lower rate.

For services with >200 profiles, we offer different pricing plans. Please contact us to discuss further.

How can I change or cancel my subscription?

If you choose to not continue your subscription under the new pricing, you may terminate your subscription for convenience at any time in writing. For us to formally process your cancellation, you need to fill out this cancellation form. Please note - as soon as your cancellation has been processed, your site will be automatically closed at the end of your current billing cycle.

How will this price model update help improve the platform?

This pricing adjustment ensures Educa’s ability to provide dependable service and strong customer support continuously.

Are there any plans for future price increases?

We review our pricing regularly, taking into account market trends and operational costs. Should any price adjustments become necessary in the future, we will ensure to communicate these changes clearly and promptly.
