Find the story you wish to edit on the child's portfolio it is linked to, then just click Edit in the top right hand corner.

Make the changes require and then scroll to the bottom of your page to either Cancel, Draft, Submit for Approval or Publish.

Remember that if you wish to re-send the email notification out to parents and profile teachers, you'll need to recheck that option on the story.

Delete a Story

To permanently remove a story you need to click Delete in the top right hand corner of the story.

You'll be greeted by a prompt confirming you want to go ahead with this as this action cannot be undone.

Download a Story

Download a child's story individually by clicking Print/Save PDF

You'll be taken to a new page where you will need to click Save as PDF in the right hand corner.

This will save the story to your Downloads folder on your computer.

Print a Story

There are two ways to print a story on Educa. Both of these way begin by selecting the Print/Save as PDF button in the right hand corner of a story.

You'll be take to a new page where you will have two options.

By clicking Save as PDF the story will be downloaded to your computer. You can then print out the downloaded story from your computer. This offers a simple and clean format.

If you want to be more creative, you can choose the Print Wizard button in the top left hand corner of the screen. This allows you to choose a layout, add boarders and select what aspects of the story are included in your printed version of the story.

Locating Draft Stories

If you created a draft story for a child you can find the story and continue working on it by heading to their profile.

Once on their profile select Draft Stories from the list under their profile picture. This will show you all of the draft stories you have access to for that child.

Simply click Edit on the correct draft to continuing working on the story.

You will only find Individual, Parent or Student Stories this way.

If you're an educator and you want to locate the draft stories you have written for children, including group stories, click on your name in the blue bar across the top of your page.

Select My Stories from the drop down menu. This will display all the stories you have created which are published, saved as a draft or pending approval.

Filter out the list in the top right corner of the page to display only your draft stories.
