Stories are the primary way educators, parents and students communicate with each other on Educa. Therefore it is vital to have control over the content and manage this over time.

Edit a Story

Find the story you wish to edit on the child's portfolio it is linked to, then just click Edit in the top right hand corner.

Make the changes require and then scroll to the bottom of your page to Publish these changes.

Remember that if you wish to re-send the email notification out to parents and profile teachers, you'll need to recheck that option on the story.

Delete a Story

To permanently remove a story you need to click Delete in the top right hand corner of the story.

You'll be greeted by a prompt confirming you want to go ahead with this as this action cannot be undone.

Download a Story

Download a child's story individually by clicking Print/Save PDF at the top of the story you wish to download.

You'll be taken to a new page where you will need to click Save as PDF in the right hand corner. This will save the story to your Downloads folder on your computer.

Print a Story

You can print stories on Educa using our Print Wizard or by printing your downloaded PDF out.

Learn more about printing stories here.

Locating Draft Stories

To find a draft story and continue working on it, head to the child's Draft Stories page located on their profile. Simply click Edit on the correct draft to continuing working on the story.

You will only find Individual, Parent or Student Stories this way.

If you're an educator and you want to locate the draft stories you have written for children, including group stories, click on your name in the blue bar across the top of your page.

Select My Stories from the drop down menu. This will display all the stories you have created which are published, saved as a draft or pending approval.

Filter out the list in the top right corner of the page to display only your draft stories.
