Linking observations to frameworks helps record important learning information on children. In Educa, it is so easy to do with a huge number of preloaded frameworks (don’t worry if yours isn’t there - we can load it later).

Selecting a framework
To begin, navigate to the Tools tab and click on Frameworks. Here, you will find a list of preloaded frameworks organised by country. For example, if you are based in the United States and following the DRDP Preschool Essential View framework, you can easily search for this framework under the US section.
Once you have located the required framework, simply tick the ☑️ checkbox to select the framework
Linking individual observations to outcomes
Choose an observation that you have already recorded and would like to link to specific learning outcomes.
Click Edit on the story and scroll to the Link Frameworks section. Click on your required Framework.
A window will pop up displaying a list of learning outcomes associated with the chosen framework. Review this list and select the outcomes that best align with your observation by ticking the ☑️ checkboxes.
Once you have selected the appropriate learning outcomes, save your changes by clicking on the Close button. The observation will now be linked to these outcomes.
Linking group observations to outcomes
Linking individual outcomes to a group story allows educators to tailor and track each child's unique learning progress within a collective activity in just a few clicks, providing an efficient way to record a comprehensive and personalised educational experience.
Choose an group story you have already recorded.
Click Edit on the group story and scroll to the Link Frameworks section to choose the required Framework.
In the pop-up you can conveniently select individual outcomes for each child included in the group story by ticking the ☑️ checkboxes next to the child's name.
Once you have selected the appropriate learning outcomes, save your changes by clicking on the Close button. The observation will now be linked to these outcomes.
