Educa’s Copy Story function allows you to efficiently create personalised stories for each child based on group activity. If you've used the Group Story function but want to add individual reflections, this feature is ideal for you.

Step-by-Step Guide:

☝️ Note: This feature is available only for published stories. Draft stories cannot be copied, so make sure to publish before copying.

  1. Write the original story:

Start by creating an Individual Story with media and curriculum links as supporting evidence. Add personal reflections tailored to the child whose profile you're currently editing. Then click Publish.

  2. Copy the story:

Once the story is published, open the More menu (three dots) on the story and select Copy. Choose the child's profile to which you want to copy the story.

  3. Edit and personalise:

The story will open in edit mode for the selected child. It will include the same text as in the original story. Make any necessary changes, such as updating the content, adding new reflections, or including media and curriculum links.

  4. Publish:

After editing, click Publish. The story will be published as an Individual Story, visible only to the family members and educators linked to the child.

  5. Repeat if needed:

If you need to copy the story to another child's profile, simply repeat the process.

🧡 Use this feature to create stories that reflect each child's unique experience and developmental journey, ensuring personalisation and accuracy.

What is included in the Copy

This feature is designed to streamline the process of creating personalised stories for each child while maintaining flexibility and performance. Here’s what is included in the copied story:

Text (Reflections, Observations, and Learning Insights)
The copied story will include all text content, such as the child’s reflections, observations, and learning insights from the original story. This ensures that the core learning experience is shared and can be personalised for each child.

Why Only Text?
Focusing on copying text ensures each child's story remains relevant and personalised. You can easily update and adjust content for the individual child while adding the most appropriate images or videos afterward.

Why Not Media, Plans, or Forms?
Media such as photos, plans, and forms are excluded to maintain relevance and context for each child. This also ensures faster processing and optimal platform performance.
