🔒 Site Admins only – If you don’t see this option, you don’t have permission. Ask someone with site admin access at your centre to help.
Your Framework Library allows you to activate pre-loaded frameworks, customise them for your centre, or create your own. Frameworks can then be linked to stories, plans, and teacher portfolio posts. You can also have multiple frameworks active at the same time — for example, a national curriculum alongside your centre’s values or philosophy.
Activating a Framework
Site Admins can enable any framework already available in Educa.
Steps:
Go to Tools > Framework Library.
Browse frameworks by region to find one that applies to your centre.
Tick the box to activate it.
Choose where the framework should appear:
Stories
Teacher Portfolio Reflections
Once activated, all teachers can link stories, plans, or portfolio posts to this framework.
Customising a Framework
You can adapt an existing Educa framework to better fit your needs.
Steps:
In Framework Library, find the framework you want to adapt.
Click Customise.
Rename the framework, then click Copy.
Refresh the page — your customised version will appear under Owned Frameworks.
Click Edit to:
Add, delete, or update standards, categories, goals, or descriptions.
Add simplified text using the Alt Story Label field.
Important: Parents will always see the full outcome if they click on it, even if you provide simplified wording.
Changes save automatically and are available immediately.
Creating Your Own Framework
Many centres create their own framework to reflect their unique philosophy, values, or approach, linking it to stories and plans.
Steps:
Go to Tools > Framework Library.
Select Create Framework.
Start by creating a Category.
Add sub-categories or Goals
Important: Goals are the outcomes educators check when linking frameworks to stories, plans, or portfolio posts.
Your framework saves automatically and is available to all educators.
Best Practice
Use parent-friendly language for outcomes.
Avoid duplicating goals across frameworks.
Pair your centre’s framework with national or regional ones to show how your values, principles or philosophy connects to standards.
