Overview

Educa does not currently have a separate app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Instead, Educa works as a mobile-friendly web app that you can add directly to your phone or tablet home screen.

Once added, Educa will appear as an icon on your device, similar to an app. You can tap the icon to open Educa quickly without needing to search for the website each time.

Looking for the Educa app?

Educa is not downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. For the best mobile experience, we recommend adding Educa to your home screen using the steps below. This gives you quick, app-like access from an Educa icon on your device.

Tip: When logging in, select Remember me so Educa opens more quickly next time.

Before you add Educa to your home screen

Before adding Educa to your home screen, make sure you can log in to your Educa site first.

You will need:

  1. An Educa invite from your centre.

  2. To have accepted your invite and completed your account setup.

  3. Your centre’s Educa site link.

Each Educa site has its own unique web address. You can usually find this link in your Educa invite email, or you can ask your centre to confirm it.

Examples include:

  • yoursitename.educa.co.nz (New Zealand)

  • yoursitename.educa.com.au (Australia)

  • yoursitename.geteduca.com (International)

Once you have logged in successfully, follow the steps below to add Educa to your home screen.

Access Educa from email notifications

Educa also sends email notifications when there is something new for you to view, such as a learning story, message, or update from your centre.

You can click the link in the email notification to go directly to the relevant item in Educa. You may be asked to log in first, especially if you have not selected Remember me or have not used Educa on that device recently.

This means you do not always need to open Educa from your home screen first. The home screen icon is useful for general access, while email links help you go straight to specific updates.
