If permission has not been given to share a childās image in group stories, you can add an Image Restriction to their profile. Educa will then display an Image Restriction note when the child appears in the group story Child selector.
This gives teachers a reminder to double-check the photos they upload and make sure they do not include any children with Image Restrictions.
Any teacher who can edit a childās profile can update this setting.
Set or update an Image Restriction
You can set an Image Restriction when creating a child profile or update it later from the childās profile.
For an existing child:
Open the childās Profile.
Select Edit Profile.
Tick or untick Image Restrictions as needed.
Save your changes.
Tick Image Restrictions when permission has not been given for the childās image to be included in group stories. Untick it if the restriction no longer applies.
You can also tick Image Restrictions when creating a new child profile.
What teachers see in a group story
When creating a group story, teachers select the children who will be linked to the story. If a child has Image Restrictions enabled, Educa displays an Image Restriction note in the Child selector.
The note makes the childās Image Restriction visible to the teacher while they are choosing which children to link to the group story.
Important: Image Restrictions do not prevent photos from being uploaded or stop the child from being linked to a group story. Educa cannot determine who appears in an uploaded image. Teachers are responsible for checking the images they add and making sure a child with an Image Restriction is not included in images shared through a group story.
