DRDP Ratings help you complete assessments using DRDP 2015 or DRDP 2025. You can collect evidence from Learning Stories and observations, review each child’s mastery levels and prepare reports for families or DRDP Online.
Before you begin
A Site Admin must enable the required DRDP framework and create the rating periods.
Confirm which DRDP version and view each child should use.
Learning Stories must be dated within the selected rating period to appear as evidence.
Each child can use one DRDP view during a rating period.
How DRDP Ratings works
During the rating period, teachers can link Learning Stories and observations to DRDP measures.
At the end of the period, teachers:
Review the evidence collected for each child.
Add evidence for any remaining measures.
Confirm or update the mastery level.
Complete the child’s rating information.
Select Reviewed for period.
Generate reports or export the results to DRDP Online.
Set up DRDP Ratings
🔒 Site Admins only – Only users with site admin access can configure these settings. If you don’t see this option, you don’t have permission. Ask someone with site admin access at your centre to help.

Complete a child’s DRDP Ratings
When you link a Learning Story to the DRDP framework, the evidence automatically appears on the child’s Ratings page.
You can also add evidence directly from the Ratings page:
Go to Tools > Ratings.
Select the required rating period.
Select the child’s name to open their Ratings page.
Review the evidence already linked to each DRDP measure.
Measures without linked evidence are highlighted so you can quickly identify gaps and add evidence.
Add evidence to a measure
Select the measure or developmental level you want to add evidence to.
Choose a date within the selected rating period.
Either:
Link an existing Learning Story.
Add a new observation.
Save the evidence.
Repeat these steps until you have enough evidence to make an informed rating.
Note: A Learning Story only appears as evidence when its date falls within the selected rating period.
Review the mastery level
Green fields show the selected mastery levels, and orange lines indicate measures with no evidence.
By default, Educa selects the highest developmental level that meets your evidence requirement. Review each selection to confirm it reflects what the child demonstrates consistently over time and in different settings.
To change the selected mastery level:
Select the developmental level that best represents the child’s demonstrated learning.
Select Mastery Level.
Save your changes.
The selected mastery level should reflect what the child consistently demonstrates across different situations and over time.
