Profile children are used when class privacy is turned on and you need a teacher to access children outside of their assigned class. You can assign these profile connections individually or in bulk.
When Do You Need to Assign Profile Children?
If class privacy is turned on:
Teachers only see children in their assigned class.
To give access to children outside that class, assign them as profile children.
This allows the teacher to create stories, view profiles, and engage with those children.
If class privacy is turned off:
All teachers can see all child profiles.
You may still assign profile children so that teachers can filter their view under My Children.
How to Assign Profile Children
Option 1 – Assign Individually
Go to the child’s profile.
Click Edit Profile.
Scroll to the Profile Teachers section.
Tick the teacher(s) you want to assign.
Save your changes.
Option 2 – Assign in Bulk
Go to Settings > Site Settings > Teachers & Children Access.
Use the dropdowns to assign teachers to children.
Changes save automatically.
