Story Search helps you find a published Learning Story when you know some details about it but cannot easily locate it from a child’s profile or your own stories.
Note: Story Search only returns published stories that you have permission to view. Draft or pending stories are not included.
Find a published story
From the sidebar, select Story Search.
Choose one or more filters to narrow your search.
Select Search.
Matching stories appear in the search results. Select a story to open it.
Choose your search filters
You can search using:
Start Date / End Date – find stories published within a particular period.
Keywords – search using a word from the story, such as a word from its title.
Story Creator – find stories created by a particular teacher.
Story Type – narrow the results to a particular type of story.
Classes – find stories associated with one or more classes.
Children – find stories associated with one or more children.
Frameworks – find stories linked to a particular framework.
You do not need to complete every filter. Start with the information you know, then add more filters if you get too many results.
If you can't find a story
Try broadening your search:
Check that your Start Date / End Date covers the date when the story was published.
Remove some filters and search again.
If using Keywords, try a shorter or more general word from the story title.
Check whether the story is still a draft or waiting for approval.
If the story is one you created, check My Stories for draft, published and pending stories.
Note: You will only see stories you have permission to access. If you think a published story should be available to you but you still cannot find it, ask someone with site admin access at your centre to help.
