For quicker access, add Educa to your phone or tablet home screen. Educa will appear as an icon that you can tap to open your site, similar to other apps on your device.

Capture photos and videos

When creating a Learning Story, you can add media directly from your phone or tablet.

You can:

  • Select existing photos or videos from your device.

  • Use your device's camera to capture a new photo or video.

This makes it easier to capture learning while you are with children and add it directly to their story.

For more information, see Add Media to Your Stories and Posts.

Create stories using speech-to-text

If your phone or tablet supports speech-to-text, you can use your device's dictation feature when writing a Learning Story.

  1. Open or create a Learning Story.

  2. Tap into the story text so your device's keyboard appears.

  3. Tap the microphone or dictation option on your keyboard.

  4. Speak normally and your device will convert your speech into text.

  5. Review and edit the text before publishing your story.

Note: Speech-to-text options vary depending on your device and keyboard settings.

Link learning to frameworks

You can link Learning Stories to the frameworks available on your Educa site while working from your phone or tablet.

When creating or editing a story, select the relevant framework outcomes or goals to show how the learning connects to your curriculum or assessment framework.

This can help you document learning while the context and observations are still fresh.
