Assigning Profile Children gives teachers access to the right child profiles, even if those children are outside their main Class. This ensures teachers can write stories, create plans, and communicate effectively with the children they work with. It’s also a great way to keep the My Children list organised—helping teachers focus on the children they support most, even when Class Privacy is off.

What Are Profile Children and Profile Teachers?

  • Profile Child – A child linked to a teacher outside their assigned Class. This gives the teacher access to the child’s profile and learning records.

  • Profile Teacher – A teacher who has been linked to a child as their Profile Child connection, allowing them to view the child’s profile, create stories, and engage with that child’s learning.

When to Assign Profile Children

If Class Privacy is ON:

  • Teachers can only see children in their assigned Class.

  • Assigning Profile Children gives a teacher access to children outside their Class.

If Class Privacy is OFF:

  • All teachers can see all child profiles.

  • Assigning Profile Children still helps teachers filter their My Children list to focus on the children they work with most often.
